ABT Audi A1 – premium quality in all categories

It is the new big ABT. “With the new Audi A1, you can get premium quality in all categories,”  say Hans-Jürgen Abt. The managing director of the globally largest tuner of cars produced by the Volkswagen Group emphasises that fun and agility are very important factors and features for and of the ABT Audi A1. After all, the latest ABT is also a real sports car.

ABT POWER makes this chic small model very powerful indeed: The 1.2 TFSI’s 86 hp (63 kW) are turned into 110 hp (81kW), the larger 1.4 TFSI has 160 hp/117 kW (122 hp/90 kW). Even the economical diesel 1.6l engine is now more dynamic. Depending upon the basic performance, its power is provided by up to 125 “horses” (92 kW).

Better performance guaranteed

It is ABT’s family tradition to make an engine perform as well as possible. Be it an optimisation of the electronic engine management, turbo chargers or compressor retrofitting – performance increases are what we do and want to do. No wonder, then, that we are the global No. I tuner of cars produced by Audi, Volkswagen, Seat and Škoda. And given our experiences gained in racing we also know that it isn’t only about power, it is also about stability. Only the two factors combined will make driving such cars real fun - permanently.

On the road with your A1 – maximum ABT POWER for this compact Audi

The Audi A1 is compact, wieldy and a “real ABT“, even more so in its most sporty version. With the latest engine, the 1.4 TFSI, it will have 210 hp or 154 kW. This makes the ABT Audi A1 a real sports car. Hans-Jürgen Abt: “Even in its serial version, this car is huge fun, especially on winding roads. And that is why we have made it even more powerful. The increased performance makes it more agile and fits its driving qualities perfectly.“ And the managing director of the globally largest tuner of cars produced by the Volkswagen Group knows exactly what becomes a sporty car: “You not only have to be able to burn rubber, you must also be able to handle it well. You should always feel an urge to be on the road with your Audi A1,” Hans-Jürgen Abt says.
But the ABT Audi A1 doesn’t only take the bends as it should, it also likes to travel on motorways. At its top speed of almost 240 km/h and a sprinting rate of 6.6 seconds to go from naught to 100 km/h this compact sports car is always fast enough. Its intrinsic “premium values” render it the right travel companion anyway, but now it also has real ABT POWER.

ABT POWER for your Audi A1 – perfect chip tuning.

Be it a petrol-engine or a diesel-engine - modern cars require an electronic engine management. It is the brains, responsible for capturing, analysing and translating into specific commands all the pertinent data and parameters like engine temperature, air and fuel masses. This optimisation is the job of the specially developed ABT Power Software. It guarantees an ideal performance at equally ideal consumption levels and also sees to it that your engine is not driven too hard. You can rely on it and make your Audi A1 perform best.

ABT ENGINE CONTROL - ABT POWER “NEW GENERATION“

Engine technology sees a constant development. Thanks to high-tech electronics, cars are now getting ever more perfect. And in terms of performance, a new era has now also been ushered in by ABT Engine Control. Specially developed for the latest engine generations to optimise the optimum. The advantages are obvious: If you have two “brains”, either can focus upon what it does best. For ABT Engine Control, this means. All performance-relevant measurements and parameters are analysed, fine-tuned and translated into ABT POWER  commands in an extra control unit. And for you, this means maximum fun and even more safety. Even if there is a defect, which is highly unlikely, the fixed ABT Engine Control unit is still fully functional.

ABT POWER & CO2

A better performance in the same exhaust emission category. A better performance does not necessarily mean higher CO2 emissions. At least not with ABT. While a serial model of the latest engine generation emits 0.9 to 1.0 g/hp, using ABT Power and ABT Power S reduces this level to down to 0.7 g/hp.

So the hp-based CO2 emissions are lowered by up to 30 per cent. A better performance, but no higher CO2 emissions. And the previous exhaust emission category still applies.
