It is not only due to this excellent performance that the mid-engine sports car is a winner. It is also due to the perfectly geared body package, developed by the ABT Sportsline DTM crew in accordance with the latest racing findings and by, for example using carbon fibres, among other things. The team focused upon an ideal weight distribution and light construction. 

At the same time, the ABT R8 comes across as very dynamic. The front apron, side mouldings and rear apron outline the body and make the car more assertive even when standing still. They form a unit with the striking rear wing and the ABT-typical 4-pipe exhaust system.
