With the ABT TT-R, in the 2002 season ABT Sportsline saw its most wonderful successes in motorsports. The ABT TT-Rs were almost unbeatable: in nine out of ten DTM races, at least one ABT driver stood on the podium and in the end Laurent Aiello in his yellow ABT TT-R won the DTM title. No wonder then that ABT loves “its” TT. For ABT Sportsline, this is also a commitment, and that challenge is taken up by tuning this exceptional sports car.
The new Audi TT is a car that even in its serial version combines a clear design with advanced technology. “You couldn’t dream up a better basic version to be tuned,” says Hans-Jürgen Abt, managing director of ABT Sportsline. The numbers speak for themselves: ABT, for the new ABT TT sport models, increase the 2.0 TFSI’s performance to a racy 240 hp (177 kW) and a maximum torque of 330 Nm.

It is ABT’s family tradition to make an engine perform as well as possible. Be it an optimisation of the electronic engine management, turbo chargers or compressor retrofitting – performance increases are what we do and want to do. No wonder, then, that we are the global No. I tuner of cars produced by Audi, Volkswagen, Seat and Škoda. And given our experiences gained in racing we also know that it isn’t only about power, it is also about stability. Only the two factors combined will make driving such cars real fun - permanently.
Be it a petrol-engine or a diesel-engine - modern cars require an electronic engine management. It is the brains, responsible for capturing, analysing and translating into specific commands all the pertinent data and parameters like engine temperature, air and fuel masses. This optimisation is the job of the specially developed ABT Power Software. It guarantees an ideal performance at equally ideal consumption levels and also sees to it that your engine is not driven too hard. You can rely on it and make your Audi TT perform best.
A better performance in the same exhaust emission category. A better performance does not necessarily mean higher CO2 emissions. At least not with ABT. While a serial model of the latest engine generation emits 0.9 to 1.0 g/hp, using ABT Power and ABT Power S reduces this level to down to 0.7 g/hp.
So the hp-based CO2 emissions are lowered by up to 30 per cent. A better performance, but no higher CO2 emissions. And the previous exhaust emission category still applies.
