“Golf-Sport” with a new name: ABT Golf R
When ABT Sportsline handles a VW Golf, the result is always a compact super sports car. After all, the globally largest tuner of cars produced by the Volkswagen Group has tuned all generations of this successful car from Wolfsburg. The latest super-Golf is called “R”, which signals its most important quality: “R” stands for “racing”. It conveys the ABT people’s experience, who of late defended the DAM title and won the ADAK GT Masters.
The serial 270 hp (199 kW) have been tuned to a dynamic 310 hp (228 kW). At a top speed of 261 km/h, the ABT Golf R is especially fast, and it sprints from naught to 100 km/h in only 5.2 seconds.

All performance-relevant measurements and parameters are analysed, fine-tuned and translated into ABT POWER commands in an extra control unit. And for you, this means maximum fun and even more safety. Even if there is a defect, which is highly unlikely, the fixed ABT Engine Control unit is still fully functional.
ABT POWER & CO2
A better performance in the same exhaust emission category. A better performance does not necessarily mean higher CO2 emissions. At least not with ABT. While a serial model of the latest engine generation emits 0.9 to 1.0 g/hp, using ABT Power and ABT Power S reduces this level to down to 0.7 g/hp.
So the hp-based CO2 emissions are lowered by up to 30 per cent. A better performance, but no higher CO2 emissions. And the previous exhaust emission category still applies.
