The powerful estate ABT RS6 “1 of 12“, only available in a very limited edition, shows elegance and dynamism combined. And no wonder: after all, the aerodynamic package consists of elements perfectly fitting this “transport vehicle and super sports car hybrid” and its enormous power of 735 hp (541 kW) and 920 Nm. Many of these, like the air inlet panels including front flics, mirror caps, side skirt attachments or the rear skirt add on, are made of exposed shiny carbon. Also look at the ABT RS6’s carbon rear spoiler with its “1/12“ logo or the four tailpipes in Daytona grey, in line with the car’s color. Incidentally, this stainless steel exhaust also features a new pre-silencer. If you want to be a member of a very exclusive club in a very sporty fashion, you will buy the ABT RS6 “1 of 12“, launched on the occasion of ABT’s 120th birthday. The high-end designer estate is not only rarer than many a racer from Maranello, it is also no less sporty.
You will be able to see number 11 out of the 12 at this year’s Essen Motor Show, powerful and assertive even when standing still. But if you then drive this Bavarian masterpiece, you can actually feel the 130 extra hp (96 kW). The ABT RS6 “1 of 12“ produces a lot of forward thrust, as it were, and its torque, up by 220 Nm, leaves it on top of any situation, up to a speed of electronically capped 320 kph. This is made possible by ABT POWER S, using a special ABT Engine Control with a software specially developed for the ABT RS6.
The ABT RS6 “1 of 12“ is a super sports car with a huge user value. It is faster than many other sports cars and can take a lot of luggage too. To combine understatement with extravagance is part of its overall concept too. Performance is what counts. The design is rounded off with the ABT FR sport-type wheels with their five double spokes. This racy and very light wheel comes in 10 x 22’’ and its perfect grip, even at the limit, is provided by Continental high-performance tires in 305/25 ZR22. Fast speeds are no problem here.
And inside, the ABT RS6 “1 of 12“ also shows that it is a very special car. The glove compartment features the “1/12“ signet, the floor mats the “120 years“ lettering. The bucket seats are leathered in two colors that fit the car’s exterior and the roof liner, all pillars and the tailgate feature Alcantara, which, combined with leather, is also found on the dashboard. Colourful ornamental seams accentuate the interior. Even the door panels, window frames and not least the steering wheel are covered in elegant leather. And no wonder: the ABT RS6 “1 of 12“ is, after all, the spectacularly perfect anniversary model the renowned enhancer has specially developed for 2016.
